Hiring Process

To best prepare you for success, here is what to expect during an interview process at Federated. The specific order and number of interviews may vary depending on the position.

Apply

Applying is easy and only takes 10 minutes. Be sure to have your required resume ready.

Pre-Employment Testing

If required for the position, you may be asked to complete applicable pre-employment testing.

Phone Interview

We want to get to know you! This is a high-level interview to discuss whether your education, experience, and skills might be a match for the position and Federated. See our Successful Phone Screen Tips RC-40 Media.

Interview

This interview dives deeper into the position for which you’re being considered and is conducted by supervisors or managers in that business area. During the interview, you’ll learn more about the job and work environment; it also may include opportunities to job shadow or meet someone from the team. You may also be asked to come back for additional in-person interviews with higher-level Federated leaders. Reference Checks

Federated conducts reference checks before extending conditional offers of employment. Be sure the references you provide will be ready to receive a call from Federated and able to respond promptly.

Background Checks

Federated conducts criminal background checks and drug screens on all candidates who accept a conditional job offer. In addition, and if applicable to the position, a driving record and/or credit check will be run during the interview process. All conditional offers of employment are contingent on passing applicable background checks.

Job Offer

All conditional job offers are extended verbally, followed-by a formal offer letter upon the candidate’s acceptance.
